Cat game · idle · pixel art
Neko Idle is a hand-drawn cat game where everything moves gently. Your cats head out, bring back coins, and the house furnishes over weeks. A few minutes a day is enough — that is the point.

What's not in it
Most games of this kind hold you by what they demand. This one holds you by what it spares you, and that is a design decision rather than a gap.
There is not a single text field in the whole game. You add someone with a code, visit their house, send your cat over for four hours, and compare this week's scores. Nothing to report, nothing to moderate.
Nothing opens between two screens. Videos exist, they are optional, and they always pay you something. You watch them if you want to.
Daily plays never stack up. Skip a day, skip a week: you do not come back to arrears waiting for you. The counter starts fresh each morning.
How it plays
One cat goes out walking. Each has a temperament, a coat and a nose — some bring back coins, others find pieces of relics.
Time spent away is counted. Close the app at night, find the walk further along in the morning. Nothing is lost while you live your life.
What the cats bring back buys tiles, lanterns and tatami. Nine plots, floor to roof, and months to fill them.
The collection
They carry names that are never translated — Mochi, Kinako, Amaterasu — and each has its coat, its temperament and its line when it comes home. The rarest only appear once you have started over.
Activities
One or three plays a day depending on the game, never carried over. Some only open after dark; a merchant comes by in the evening with a few marked-down pieces and four tiles you can only get from him.
Questions
Only for friends. Everything else — the walk, the house, the twelve games — plays offline.
No. No name, no address, no password, no age. An anonymous account is created on its own for cloud saving and friends, and it can be deleted in two taps.
Not today. The game is free and funded by optional reward videos.
Your cats wait for you. Offline earnings are capped, but nothing is lost and nothing needs catching up.
Yes, with a code of four letters and four digits. You visit their house, send your cat to stay over, look after theirs while they are away, and compare the week's best scores.
